Which electric toothbrush is suitable for your dog?

Welche elektrische Zahnbürste eignet sich für deinen Hund?

Brushing your little darling's teeth is essential to significantly improve dental hygiene. This is the only way to combat tartar, plaque and all the consequences before they even appear. But you also need the right tools to brush your teeth! An electric toothbrush is ideal for this. It saves you the tedious scrubbing around in your dog's mouth, as is the case with a manual toothbrush. Many of the more sensitive dogs don't like that at all.
But there are also differences between electric toothbrushes that could be important for you and your four-legged friend.

The electric toothbrush

An electric toothbrush saves you a lot of work when brushing your teeth and its rotating motion thoroughly removes all plaque from your dog's teeth. Thanks to up to 20,000 movements per minute, the electric toothbrush reaches all the teeth in the dog's mouth and makes brushing much more pleasant for you and your dog. This is because you only have to put the brush on the teeth and don't have to use large scrubbing movements like with a manual toothbrush. Many dogs don't like having their mouths cleaned over a large area and possibly with too much pressure. The gentle movements of the electric toothbrush, on the other hand, are much easier for many dogs to tolerate. There are also interchangeable brush heads, each of which is adapted to large or small dogs.

Thorough cleaning and care of a dog's teeth is much easier with an electric toothbrush, as it is much easier to use and at the same time the cleaning performance is improved. However, there are dogs that react to the vibrations of the electric toothbrush and therefore refuse to have their teeth cleaned. But there is a solution for these cases too.

The electric toothbrush 2.0: The ultrasonic toothbrush

An ultrasonic toothbrush is the ultimate when it comes to dental hygiene for dogs. Not only does it clean the dog's teeth like conventional electric toothbrushes with up to 20,000 vibrations per minute, but it also does so noiselessly and vibration-free with up to 96 million air vibrations per minute. In combination with the special ultrasonic toothpaste, which creates imploding tiny bubbles, the ultrasonic toothbrush achieves an extremely high cleaning performance. In contrast to the electric toothbrush, it does not require any brushing movements that could irritate the dog. All you have to do is hold the ultrasonic toothbrush to the dog's tooth and plaque dissolves bit by bit. It also stimulates blood circulation in the gums, which further promotes healthy oral flora.

So if you want to do something good for your dog, then grab the emmi®-pet ultrasonic toothbrush and make tooth cleaning as pleasant and gentle as possible for him.
